Excellent Thermal Insulation
- U-VALUE – Measures how well a material conducts heat. For polycarbonate sheet, it shows the heat transfer, Its units are the W/(m2°C). A lower U-value means better insulation.
- R-VALUE – Measures a material’s resistance to heat flow. A higher R-value indicates better insulation. It’s the inverse of the U-value.
4mm clear float glass has a U value of 5.9 m2K/W, 4mm polycarbonate 5.29 m2K/W, means same thickness polycarbonate sheet has better heat insulation. Polycarbonate Roofing sheet is an incredibly energy efficient and a fantastic insulator.
