Excelite® clear polycarbonate sheets are a virtually unbreakable, general-purpose polycarbonate. These sheets provide UV resistance, exceptional weather-ability, and superior impact strength. The Excelite® clear GP polycarbonate sheets are easy to thermoform, machining, fabricate, printing and decorate without needing special forming techniques. They are also guaranteed 10 years against excessive yellowing, hazing, breakage, and loss of light transmission.

We offer polycarbonate sheets in a wide range of thicknesses, from 1mm to over 100mm for super thick polycarbonate sheets. We also provide custom sizing to meet your specific needs.

In addition to double-sided glossy clear sheets, we manufacture frosted polycarbonate sheets, polycarbonate roofing sheets, and tinted polycarbonate sheets.

1.Does clear polycarbonate sheet turn yellow?

Polycarbonate sheets may yellow over time, which is influenced by the material quality and the presence of protective coatings. Excelite’s clear polycarbonate sheets have UV coatings on both sides and come with a 10-year warranty.

2. Does transparent polycarbonate sheet scratch easily?

Yes, clear polycarbonate sheets are more prone to scratching compared to some other materials, such as glass or acrylic. But we offer polycarbonate sheets with scratch-resistant coatings that can help improve durability and reduce the likelihood of scratches.

3. Does polycarbonate crack easily? Can I drill polycarbonate?

Polycarbonate sheet material is known for its high impact resistance and durability. To drill holes in polycarbonate, use an ordinary iron or HSS drill bit. Position the drill perpendicular to the sheet and run it at medium speed, applying light pressure. A slightly used but sharp drill bit is best to avoid “biting” into the material.

And don’t drill too close to the edge.

4. What is the life span of Excelite polycarbonate sheet?

The lifespan of Excelite® polycarbonate sheet typically ranges from 10 to 15 years, depending on factors such as material quality, UV protection, environmental exposure, and maintenance. PC Sheets with UV-resistant coatings generally last longer.

5. Is polycarbonate sheet same as perspex sheet?

No, polycarbonate and Perspex (acrylic sheet) are not the same. While both are transparent plastic materials, polycarbonate is more impact-resistant, tougher, and flexible, making it nearly unbreakable. Perspex, also known as acrylic, is more rigid and has a higher clarity but is more prone to cracking and shattering under impact. Polycarbonate is better suited for applications requiring durability and impact resistance, whereas Acrylic is often chosen for its optical clarity and scratch resistance.

6. How do you bond polycarbonate sheet?

For bonding polycarbonate, several types of adhesives are suitable, each offering specific benefits:

Epoxy Resin:

Two-Component Polyurethane Adhesive:
- Offers quick curing with good strength and toughness.
